My sister and her now wife, decided to have a casual backyard wedding shower in June of 2019 before their wedding that September. The shower was held at my parents house and we got catering platters from Chipotle. The brides love Mexican food, and they offer great vegan/vegetarian options.







A big charcuterie board was made and we put apps out on the island, had the Chipotle set up as a buffet, set up a side bar on the small porch, and utilized the large patio to set up the tables and chair under a tent. To create more space for our guests, some of the patio furniture was moved out to the lawn, along with yard games for everyone to play. We wanted to create an open and inviting area for all of our guests to mingle and meet before the big day.






My mom made homemade raspberry jam, we canned them in mini jars and tagged it with a “Spread the Love” note for everyone to take home. We displayed them on the dining room table, along with the gifts and a personal touch of crystals. It was a beautiful day to take family photos and celebrate the brides to be!
